DuBois & Son, LLC filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on March 11.

The company, which was formerly operated under  DuBois Farms Inc., is a family-run company that owes all types of creditors $23.7 million and a list of assets $627,000. The company owes money to many different produce companies throughout Florida. A lawyer for the company said that the death of a co-owner in September was the beginning of the demise for the company. A meeting with the creditors is scheduled for April 13.
