South Carolina - Affinity Technology Group of Columbia has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after posting record losses for the second quarter.  Net loss for the quarter was $514,000 nearly 30 thousand more than net losses for the second quarter in 2007.

The company has also filed a motion with the court requesting permission to move forward with its plan of offering its patents and other assets for sale, under the supervision of the Court.

Affinity CEO, Chairman, and President Joe Boyle wishes to avoid Chapter 7 liquidation by selling the company’s assets.
